MEN'S BASKETBALL:  Terriers play pair at home this week; Only 4 home dates remain
So you haven't been out to see the Wofford men's basketball team on the parquet at the Benjamin Johnson Arena this season...

Better hurry.  Time is running out.

The Wofford men's basketball team hosts only 4 more games inside the Benjamin Johnson Arena this season and two of those games are this week!  The Elon Phoenix comes to the BenJo on Wednesday, Feb. 3 for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off. The contest is presented by Spartanburg Regional Sports Medicine and it will be Spartanburg Day School night.

This long four-game homestand ends on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. when the Spartans of UNC Greensboro visit.  Saturday's game is presented by Bojangles and will be New Prospect Elementary night.  Plus, at halftime, fans will get to meet the Wofford baseball, tennis and track & field teams as they are introduced and giveaway various items to the crowd.

After these two home games, you'll have to drive to see the Terriers in person for about 2 weeks. The 'Dogs hit the road for four straight (Feb. 10 at Furman, 7pm (TV: My40), Feb. 13 at Samford, 3:00 pm, Feb. 17 at Davidson, 7:00 pm, Feb. 20 at Georgia Southern, 2:30 pm).

After this long road trip, Wofford returns to the Benjamin Johnson Arena February 25 to host College of Charleston (TV: CSS) and the 27th against The Citadel.  Fans are encouraged to reserve their tickets in advance for the final two home contests due to early ticket demand.

GO PINK: Wofford SAAC launches annual campaign against breast cancer
The Wofford Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Athletic Department have announced the launch of the annual "Terriers GO PINK" initiative to raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer.  This is part of a league-wide effort taking place around the Southern Conference this month.

This year as part of the campaign, Wofford Sports Marketing is offering special "GO PINK" basketball ticket packages.  Call 864-597-4023 to order a "Go Pink Pack" for the February 3 men's basketball game against Elon or the February 6 men's basketball contest against UNC Greensboro.  Both games tip-off at 7:00 pm.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase four discounted reserved seat tickets to either game for only $20 (or 2 tickets for $10) and "turn your package pink" by adding two "TERRIERS GO PINK" t-shirts for $20 more!  50% of the proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will be donated to the WBCA Kay Yow Cancer Fund as part of a Southern Conference initiative.  The "Go Pink" ticket packages are available while supplies last and must be ordered in advance to receive the ticket discount.

The Wofford women's basketball team will host "GO PINK" night Monday, February 15 at 6:00 pm against the College.  All tickets to the game will be $1.00 and all ticket sales will go toward the WBCA Kay Yow Cancer Fund.  The women's basketball team will wear the "GO PINK" t-shirts (shown here) in pre-game warm-ups as well.

At all men’s and women’s home games February 2-15, fans will be able to purchase pink wristbands for $1.00 with all proceeds going to the WBCA/Kay Yow Cancer Fund as well.

NUMBER OF THE WEEK: 1,124
From the Wofford basketball program a big thank you to the 1,124 Terrier faithful that came to the Benjamin Johnson Arena on Saturday to cheer the Terriers to a 57-46 win over Furman.  This wasn't the largest crowd of the year, actually to the contrary it was the smallest since the home opener against Lees-McRae. However, no group of Wofford basketball fans had more adversity to overcome than you in braving the bitter cold, snow and ice Saturday afternoon.  From Coach Young, the team and everyone at Wofford - THANK YOU!
