James Zotto Named Academic All-District

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College football student-athlete James Zotto has been named to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District first team.

Zotto is a sophomore safety from Libertyville, Illinois. This season he has started all ten games and is third on the team in tackles with 53. He also has two tackles for loss and four pass break-ups.

This marks the eleventh straight season at least one Wofford football student-athlete has been named Academic All-District. Last year Ben Wilmoth and Tommy Irvin were honored.

The Capital One Academic All-District team is selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Wofford is in the fourth district, which includes schools in Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Nominees must have at least a 3.30 grade point average.
