GREENVILLE, S.C. –Wofford College head football coach Mike Ayers will be the next Coaches 4 Character speaker on December 12th, 7:00 p.m. at the TD Convention Center. The event is free to students.

Over the last four years, the Coaches 4 Character Series has evolved into a unique character and education program for Upstate at risk youth in grades 4-12. The Coaches 4 Character Series emphasizes the importance of education and character to students. It gives them what every student deserves, hope and a chance to succeed in life. Over 15,000 students have attended the sixteen programs the last four years.

In his 24th season, Ayers has guided the Terriers from the NCAA Division II ranks to Division I and the Southern Conference. Along the way, his teams made appearances in the Division II Playoffs in 1990 and 1991, the Division I FCS Playoffs in 2003, 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2011, and claimed Southern Conference titles in 2003, 2007 and 2010.

Prior to the Mike Ayers Coaches 4 Character program, there will be a reception at Nantucket Seafood Grill from 5-6:30 PM to honor and thank Coach Ayers.
