Wallace holds Wofford’s career record for batting average at .459 (1981-82). His 37-game hitting streak still stands as a Wofford record. He was a two-year selection to the NAIA All-District team and was also named Wofford’s MVP for 1982. Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals after his junior year, he advanced to the Triple-A level in professional baseball, but continued his studies and has completed his Wofford degree. He is currently the head baseball coach at Spartanburg Methodist College and lives in Spartanburg with his wife, Beth Dashiell Wallace ’82
