Wofford College Athletics

William Child was a four-year letterman in tennis and basketball. He was team captain of both squads as a senior. He was a two-time winner of the state singles cup in 1924 and 1925 and also won the South Carolina Intercollegiate singles championship. The native of Spartanburg, S.C. also served as president of the South Carolina Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
