The Wofford College Terrier Club kicked off a new athletic scholarship fundraising drive last year with the “FAB 15” Contest. The contest tracks the annual giving of athletic alumni in each of the varsity teams that the college sponsors. The “FAB 15” Contest ranks each team by the participation of former student-athletes. It’s not about total dollars; it’s about all players over the generations of Wofford Athletics making an annual gift to support today’s student-athletes.

Men’s Golf Team Wins Inaugural FAB 15 Contest!
Giving season results are in, and Wofford’s men’s golf team took the FAB 15 (Former Athletes Best) championship for 2009. The team rallied 32.9 percent of golf alumni to give at least $50 to the Terrier Club during the year. Men’s basketball followed in second place with 27.4 percent, and football ranked third in Terrier Club support with 25.5 percent.
The men’s golf team will be recognized for winning the FAB 15 contest during the Bosscars, athletic awards banquet, on Wednesday, May 12 at 6 pm in the Benjamin Johnson Arena. Individual invitations will be mailed out later in April.
Through the FAB 15 contest, the Terrier Club saw a 22 percent increase or 149 new donors from graduated student-athletes. 100 percent of the money raised by former student-athletes goes toward scholarships for current student-athletes.
On January 1, the Terrier Club kicked off a new giving year and a new FAB 15 contest. Once again, the team who recruits the largest percentage of graduated student-athletes as members of the Terrier Club will win the championship.

The 2010 competition ends on December 31, so start contacting your teammates today. Because the competition is based on percentages, one or two gifts can make the difference. Making a gift today could make a difference in the recruitment of or retention of a current Wofford student-athlete. Thank you!!
