Tate Yancey joined the Wofford staff in June of 2026. He will work primarily with the safeties.
Yancey spent five seasons as a defensive student assistant at Georgia Southern, working with the outside linebackers in 2021 before moving to the inside linebackers for the next four seasons. In 2025, he served as the assistant linebackers coach for the Birmingham Bowl win over Appalachian State.
He earned his degree in sports management from Georgia Southern in December of 2025.
