Spartanburg, SC – Wofford's men's tennis team made it four straight wins at Reeves Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon after knocking off Emmanuel 7-0.
Lucas Cerbelli and
Diego Losada kicked off the day with a 6-2 win at the #3 doubles pairing. The duo of
Javi Casasolas and
Bryce Keim secured the doubles point for Wofford as they won 6-4. Court one was cut short due to Wofford winning the other two matches, with the Terriers trailing on that court 5-6.
Omar Williams started the singles sweep at the #2 spot with a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
Edu Villar has continued his strong performance of late as he went on to win 6-2, 6-1.
Diego Losada won on court five with a 6-1, 6-3 win, and
Lucas Cerbelli won on court three by a 6-2, 6-3 score.
Julian Chousa and
Callum Rendle ended the match with two wins to give the Terriers a 7-0 sweep over the Lions.
"Our team went to work today and took off less than a handful of points. Our identity is growing stronger each week", said head coach
Rod Ray. "The doubles execution was super today. In singles, we played our game and delivered good plays on big points."
Wofford will play once again at Reeves Tennis Center on Thursday, March 12 against North Greenville at 3:00 p.m.
