CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team competed at The Citadel on Saturday in an NCAA qualifier match held at the Inouye Marksmanship Center. The Citadel mixed team was first at 4,580 points, followed by the Wofford at 4,348 and the Citadel women with 3,311.
Marcus Stallings led the Terriers with a score of 1,116 to finish sixth overall. He fired a 560 in small bore and a 556 in air rifle.
Isabella Timmons was seventh overall (543 small bore, 566 air), followed by
Jason Kellinger (544 small bore, 5430 air) and
Meredith Bean (513 small bore, 536 air).
Jessy Delgado fired air rifle only with a 508 score.
Overall, Robert Brabston of The Citadel mixed team took first place with a 1,153 aggregate score along with first place in air rifle and second place in small bore.
The Terriers will take part in the Southern Conference Championship from March 6-8 in Lexington, Virginia to conclude the season.
