LEXINGTON, Va. – The Wofford College rifle team took second place in a match on Saturday at VMI. The Keydets posted a score of 4,528, while Wofford fired a 4,391 and the VMI women's team had a 4,272.
Wofford was led by
Isabella Timmons with an aggregate score of 1,126 to take third place overall. She was the top Terrier in both small bore (559) and air (567) as she tied her career-best in aggregate.
Garrett Dall fired a career-best 1,119 (554 small bore, 565 air) as he set a career-best in air rifle as well.
Jessy Delgado had a 1,050 (506 small bore, 544 air), while
Ansely-Brooke Springer had a 1,096 (529 small bore, 567 air).
Charlie Yang had a career-best score of in 524 air rifle only.
Christopher Hicks of VMI was the top individual with a score of 1,157 as he was first in both air rifle and small bore.
The Terriers will host the Keydets on Saturday, December 3 at the Joe E. Taylor Center Rifle Range.
