SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team was defeated by the University of Alabama Birmingham on Saturday morning at the Taylor Center Rifle Range. The Dragons fired a 4,583 to the Terriers score of 4,342.
Wofford was led by
Isabella Timmons with a career-high aggregate score of 1,134 to take third place overall. She was the top Terrier in both small bore (563) and air (571), setting a new career mark in small bore. Garrett Dall fired a 1,106 (551 small bore, 555 air) as he was seventh overall.
Ansely-Brooke Springer had a 1,066 (522 small bore, 544 air), while
Jessy Delgado had a 1,036 (504 small bore, 532 air).
Sophia Flores of UAB was the top individual with a score of 1,154 as she was first in small bore, while Gracie Turk of UAB was first in air rifle (583).
The Terriers remain at home on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. against Georgia Southern. The final home match will be Saturday, February 4.
