SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team fell to Georgia Southern on Sunday at the Taylor Center Rifle Range. The Eagles, ranked #16 in the nation, fired a 4,623 to the Terriers score of 4,299 in the Southern Conference match.
Wofford was led for the second time this weekend by
Isabella Timmons with an aggregate score of 1,121 to take fifth place overall. She was the top Terrier in both small bore (556) and air (565). Garrett Dall fired a 1,099 (548 small bore, 551 air) as he was sixth overall.
Ansely-Brooke Springer had a 1,062 (503 small bore, 559 air), while
Jessy Delgado had a 1,017 (478 small bore, 539 air).
Addy Burrow of Georgia Southern was the top individual with a score of 1,177 as she was first in small bore (586) and air rifle (591).
The Terriers final home match of the season will be Saturday, February 4, against The Citadel.
