STATESBORO, Ga. – The Wofford College rifle team competed against Georgia Southern on Sunday morning at the Shooting Sports Education Center. The Eagles, ranked #7 in the nation, had a 4,724 and the Terriers had a 4,379.
Wofford was led by
Ansely-Brooke Springer with an aggregate score of 1,111 to finish ninth overall. Springer was the top Terrier in smallbore at 545. Garrett Dall had an aggregate of 1,108.
Charlie Yang had a career-high of 569 in air rifle to lead the Terriers and posted an aggregate of 1,090.
Jessy Delgado scored a 1,059. In air rifle only,
Chanson Bullard had a career-best 549 and
Allie Grace Frank had a career-best 538.
Emma Pohlman of Georgia Southern was first overall with a 1,186 aggregate score that tied a school record as she was first in both smallbore (588) and air rifle (598).
The Terriers return to action on December 2 in Lexington, Virginia, against VMI and John Jay.
