SPARTANBURG, S.C. – On Saturday, the Wofford College women's tennis team defeated Mars Hill 4-0 at the Reeves Tennis Center. The Terriers clinched the doubles point and then won three singles matches to end the day with the remaining three matches unfinished.
To open the match at #3 doubles,
Catherine Blouin and
Brianna Wilbur claimed a 6-0 win.
Lily Woods and
Georgia Fischer picked up a 6-0 win at the #1 position to clinch the point and the #2 position was left unfinished with Wofford leading 4-1.
During singles play,
Emely Kahrs took a 6-0, 6-0 win at the #5 spot to open action for the Terriers.
Brianna Wilbur added a 6-3, 6-0 victory at the #3 singles position. At #4 singles, Georgia Fisher had a 6-1, 6-3 win which clinched the match for Wofford.
Lily Woods at #1,
Breda Brennan at #2 and Catherin Blouin at #6 all were ahead but left unfinished.
The Terriers (4-4) will be back at home on Tuesday, February 21, against North Greenville University at 2:30 p.m.
