CHARLESTON, S.C. – The 2023 Southern Conference Rifle Championship took place at the Inouye Marksmanship Center on the campus of The Citadel on Saturday and Sunday. Wofford finished seventh overall with 4,419 points and
Isabella Timmons was tenth in the individual standings with a career-best 1,146 aggregate score.
The smallbore competition was held on Saturday. In the team scores, Wofford was seventh overall with 2,176 points. Senior
Isabella Timmons was the top Terrier finisher with a career-high 570 points to place seventh to advance to the individual finals. In the finals, she fired a 392.1 – which included a 10 on her final shot – to place seventh. Also competing in smallbore for the Terriers were Garrett Dall (550),
Ansely-Brooke Springer (521),
Jessy Delgado (535) and
Charlie Yang (486).
In the air rifle competition on Sunday, Wofford had 2,243 points to place seventh.
Isabella Timmons fired a career-best 576 to lead the Terriers.
Ansely-Brooke Springer (569/personal best), Garrett Dall (550),
Jessy Delgado (540) and
Charlie Yang (538/personal best) also competed in air rifle.
