SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Wofford College rifle team was defeated by the University of North Georgia on Saturday at the Joe E. Taylor Center Rifle Range. The Nighthawks posted a score of 4,635 to 3,157 for the Terriers.
 
Wofford was led by 
Oliver Guthrie with an aggregate score of 1,136 that was seventh overall. 
Charlie Yang had an aggregate of 1,102. In air rifle only, 
Maeghan Springer had a career-high of 525 and 
Hank Thomas had a 394 in his first career match. The Terriers were unable to field a full team due to injuries and interim travel.
 
The Terriers will compete at the Southern Conference Championships on February 8 and 9 at Georgia Southern University.
