"I am so incredibly proud of this team," said head coach Krissy Hall. "The growth I have seen this season has been unbelievable. We fell just short today, but we left it all out on the court. This group competed with heart, fought for each other, and has so much to be proud of."

The Terriers (11-8, 4-3) were the #4 seed and advanced to the semifinals for the third time in the last four years. Furman (17-4), the #1 seed, advanced to the championship match against the #2 seed East Tennessee State.
