Biography
2015-16: Competed in six singles matches and 22 doubles matches… Earned a 4-2 record in singles, with all four of his wins coming in the #6 position… Won four straight singles matches from April 2-22, with all of the wins occurring in SoCon play. Defeated Furman (April 14) and Mercer (April 22) with comeback wins after dropping the first set… Won eight doubles matches partnered with Alan Poric in the #3 slot… Delivered a 3-2 doubles record with Haris Poric in the #2 position… Also competed in doubles matches with Kyle Barr and Trevor Gotkowski, defeating Spartanburg Methodist, 6-0 (Feb. 10)... Named to the Spring SoCon All-Academic Team and the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.
2014-15: Competed in two singles and three doubles matches … Played from the no. 6 position in singles, where he went 1-1 … Won his collegiate debut against North Carolina A&T’s Nicholas Whitehead 6-0, 6-0 (Jan. 31) … Partnered with Haris Poric in doubles at the no. 2 position, going 1-3 for the season … Named to the 2014-15 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
2013-14: Suffered an injury and did not see action in the 2013-14 season … 2013-14 Southern Conference Honor Roll recipient.
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterman in tennis at Montgomery Bell Academy… Three-time Tennessee State Champions in 2010, 2011, and 2012… State runner-up in 2013… Four-time District Champion… All as part of the TSSAA conference at Division I AA… Selected All-Region 2013 Singles as a senior… Team MVP for the 2011 season… Maintained headmasters list and honor roll throughout high school… Was a National Latin Exam gold metalist… Part of Young Republicans club, and Stock Market club… Outside activities included working a soup kitchen, and Special Olympic Tennis in Nashville…
