Connor Ferares was named director of marketing in June of 2026. In this role, he oversees the marketing initiatives for all 20 sports. He coordinates the game day experience, which includes oversight of the in-venue productions. Previously, he served as fan engagement assistant at James Madison University.Â

While at James Madison, he was responsible for all marketing and fan engagement efforts for men’s soccer, field hockey, and volleyball. He also executed all on-field promotions for football and was the primary point of contact for the popular Duke Dog Reading program. He began his career as the lead marketing intern at James Madison while a student, working primarily with field hockey and swimming and diving, while also supporting fan engagement at football games.Â

A native of Virginia, he graduated in December of 2024 from James Madison with a degree in sports and recreation management.
