Divine Mathes joined the Wofford staff in the summer of 2026 as an assistant athletic trainer. She will work with the women’s basketball team, cheerleading and rifle.
During the winter of 2026 she was an athletic trainer for Athlete’s Unlimited Basketball. She spent the 2025 WNBA season with the Seattle Storm, providing athletic training services to the team.
From 2023-2025, Mathes was an athletic trainer at Jacksonville State University, where she primarily worked with the women’s basketball team.
A 2021 graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in athletic training, she also earned a masters in sports administration from Wayne State University in 2023. While at Wayne State she worked with football, men’s and women’s swimming, and cross country/track and field. She is a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is licensed in South Carolina and Tennessee.
