Dr. Eric Cole is in his 19th season as a team family physician for the Terriers. He is in private practice at the Family Physicians of Spartanburg. A 1999 graduate of Wofford College with a degree in biology, he was a four-year letterman on the football team. He earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors as a junior and was the recipient of Carolina Panthers Post-Graduate Scholarship. He also received the Charles Bradshaw Award in 1999.

He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2003 and completed his residency in family practice in Greenwood, South Carolina. While in Greenwood, he was associate team doctor for Lander University.

Cole and his wife, Susan, a 1998 graduate of Wofford, have two children, Andrew and Katie.
