Gavin Hopkins was named the assistant director of strength and conditioning at Wofford College in July of 2022. He will work primarily with the baseball and football teams, while working with all 20 sports at Wofford.

Before joining the Terriers he was an assistant strength coach at the University of South Carolina, working with the football team. He spent the fall of 2020 as a intern at Marshall University where he worked with the baseball, football and softball teams. In the spring of 2020, Hopkins was at Purdue University assisting with the football and baseball teams. His first experience was as an intern with the University of Georgia football team in the fall of 2019.

Hopkins earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science in December of 2019 from Ball State University. He added a master’s degree in health education from Purdue University Global in 2021. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
