SPARTANBURG, S.C. – This summer many Wofford baseball players are continuing to play in summer wooden bat leagues. Over twenty Terriers are in leagues stretching from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to the shores of Hawaii.

James Foster is playing in the Cape Cod League for the Cotuit Kettleers. He has played in ten games as an outfielder and is batting .250.

Closer to home in the Coastal Plains League, Mac Doyle is hitting .318 in 25 games played for the Florence Red Wolves. Cash Collins is also playing for Florence and has a 1.95 ERA in 32.1 innings pitched. David Roney has started 24 games for the Thomasville Hi-Toms with 14 RBIs. Tom Dolinak, John Cornely and Pete Noordsy are pitching for the Outer Banks Daredevils. Noordsy leads the group with a 1.84 ERA, followed by Cornely at 2.16.

Also in the Coastal Plains League, J.D. Osborne and Konstantine Diamaduros are playing for the Forest City Owls. Osbonre has eight strikeouts in four innings pitched, while Diamaduros is batting .262 with 27 hits and 13 RBIs in 26 games played.

Out in the Hawaii Collegiate League, Mason Bradley has pitched in three games with a 1.12 ERA for Menehune. Alex Wilson is playing for the Aliis and is posting a 1.59 ERA in 5.2 innings pitched.

In the Southern Collegiate Baseball League, Gus White, Ryan Traylor, Anthony Rowland and Matt Moore are all playing for the Spartanburg Blue Eagles. Traylor is 3-1 overall with a 2.84 ERA. Rowland is 2-0 with 14 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched and White has thrown 20 innings with 12 strikeouts. Moore has played 13 games in the infield and also threw 2.1 innings with two strikeouts. For the Morganton Aggies, Taylor Rozier has hit two homeruns and Bradley Evsich has played in 14 games. Thomas Nichols has made six appearances on the mound for the Fort Mill Stingers.

Brandon Yarusi is 2-0 with a 0.83 ERA in 21.2 innings pitched for Monmoth in the ABCCL. Alex Lee is playing for the East Morris Blues in the ABCCL. In addition, Landon Bennett is playing in Atlanta, while Clark Wise is playing American Legion ball this summer.

In the pro ranks, Brandon Waring has played in 71 games at third base for the Bowie Baysox, a Class-AA Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Waring is hitting .232 on the season with 63 hits, 38 runs scored, 38 RBI and 12 home runs.

Michael Gilmartin has played in 72 games for the Kane County Cougars, a Class-A affiliate of the Oakland A’s in the Midwest League. At shortstop, he is hitting .224 with 57 hits, 21 runs scored and 29 RBIs.
