Wofford Athletics Schedule Changes

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College will be hosting the 2012 Republican presidential contenders in a debate in Spartanburg on November 12. The debate, to be sponsored by CBS, National Journal and the S.C. Republican Party, will be held in Benjamin Johnson Arena. Due to the debate, changes have been made to several Wofford athletic events.

The women’s basketball season home opener against Kennesaw State will now be held at Kennesaw State. The game on Friday, November 11, will begin at 7:00 p.m. The Lady Owls will return the trip to Spartanburg to start the 2012-13 season.

The home volleyball game on Saturday, November 12, against Georgia Southern will now be played at Converse College. Game time will move to 6:00 p.m.

The home football game, also against Georgia Southern on November 12, will begin at 1:00 p.m. instead of 1:30 p.m. This move is being made to help ease parking concerns on campus due to the debate. All football parking lots, including the Verandah Lot, must be cleared 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game.

On Sunday, November 13, the Wofford volleyball game against Davidson at 1:00 p.m. and the men’s basketball game against Emory and Henry at 5:00 p.m. will be held as scheduled.
