SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Four Wofford football players will participate in the 2014 College All-Star Bowl on Friday, February 14, at Furman University. The game will be broadcast nationally on the CBS Sports Network starting at 6:00 p.m.
The Wofford players that will be competing are offensive linemen Ty Gregory and Jared Singleton, linebacker Alvin Scioneaux, and safety James Zotto.
The Nationals, led by Clemson National Champion Head Coach Danny Ford, will have Gregory, Singleton, and Scioneaux on the squad. The Americans, led by College Football Hall of Fame Head Coach Willie Jeffries of South Carolina State, include Zotto.
The game gives special focus to players entering the NFL Draft, creating an opportunity for football players nationwide, including South Carolina.
Weather has caused some delays in the game week proceedings including cancelling the
induction ceremony for the S.C. Football Hall of Fame and several practices, but that has led to more opportunities for players to meet one-on-one with college scouts.
