SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College women's soccer head coach Amy Kiah announced on Thursday six more additions to the 2015 roster. Freshmen Emma Crevling, Karly Diltz, Emma Fletcher, Mayson Liner, Cassandra Pankey and Emily Washburn will all join the squad for the upcoming season.
Emma Crevling (D, 5'5", Knoxville, Tenn.) – Crevling comes to Wofford after being a four-year starter with both West High School and KFC Sevilla '97. In club, Crevling helped guide her team to four district finals, capturing a regional finalist berth in 2014. Her senior year, she was named her high school team captain, earning First Team All-District and Second Team All-State distinctions. She was also named her high school's team MVP. Off the field, she was an international baccalaureate candidate. Emma intends to major in health sciences.
Karly Diltz (MF, 5'5", Westfield, Mass.) – Karly joins the Terriers after serving as a four-year starter for Westfield High School, where in 2013 she helped lead her team to a league championship. She was named to the All-league and All Star teams in 2014 and earned a gold medal at last year's Bay State games. In addition to her work on the soccer field, Diltz was a state-qualifying sprinter and captain for her high school team. Off the field, she was a member of the National Honors Society and was awarded the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. She plans to major in biology.
Emma Fletcher (MF, 5'5", Omaha, Neb.) – Fletcher comes to Wofford after starting the past four years at Marian High School, where she assisted her team in earning 56 wins over the last four years including an NSAA-record 24-straight. She was an NSAA honorable mention in 2014 and helped lead the team to state championships in both 2012 and 2014. Fletcher was also named her age group's player of the year with her OFC club team. She was also involved with multiple organizations off the field including the National Honors Society. She intends to major in the humanities.
Mayson Liner (GK, 5'6", Athens, Tenn.) – A three year letterman at McMinn County High School, Liner was a First Team All-District and All-Region selection both her junior and senior year. She joins Wofford with 23 career shutouts under her belt, helping her team to a first place finish in the region in 2013. She was involved in a plethora of organizations off the field including the National Honors Society. Liner plans to major in English.
Cassandra Pankey (D, 5'5", Spartanburg, S.C.) – A three year letter winner at Dorman High School, Pankey helped her team to 44 wins. She served as team captain the past two seasons, notching nine goals and four assists over her career. Pankey played in the 2015 North-South game and was also named to the All-Academic team in 2014. Off the field she was a member of the National Honors Society as well as the Beta Club and Spanish Honors Society. She intends to major in environmental science.
Emily Washburn (D, 5'10", Lexington, S.C.) – A two-year starter at River Bluff High School, Washburn joins the Terriers after three regional appearances, including a regional championship in 2013. She also played club ball with SCUFC 96 G Elite, in which the team made the national tournament during the 2013-14 season. The 2015 season team captain and MVP, Washburn was a two-time All-Region selection. Off the field, she was heavily involved, serving as a member of the National Honors Society along with other groups. She is a Benjamin Wofford scholarship recipient, and plans to major in biology upon arrival.
