GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wofford College men's tennis team picked up its first win of the 2016 season, as the Terriers swept the North Carolina A&T Aggies 7-0 at the Aggies Tennis Complex Saturday morning.

The Terriers (1-1) first swept the doubles matches before taking each of the six singles matches.

Alan Poric each picked up victories in singles and doubles, while sophomore

Kyle Barr won their singles matches and juniors
Andrew Graham and
Trevor Gotkowski earned doubles victories for the Terriers.

"Our effort today had a purpose and we improved by acting upon an intentional plan," Coach Ray said after the match. "We had a solid effort today by everyone. I couldn't be more pleased."

Haris Poric and Gotkowski paired at the number one doubles spot to win 6-0 against Aggies sophomores Brett Caban and Kyle Scott. Sklar and Thompson paired at the two position with Graham and Poric sharing the three spot, with both teams winning their matches 6-3.

In singles,
Haris Poric and Thompson each picked up their second victories of the season, with Poric beating Caban 6-1, 6-0 and Thompson defeating Nicholas Ardur 6-4, 6-2.

Alan Poric and Barr each won their first singles matches of their Wofford careers Saturday. Poric defeated Scott 6-0, 6-0 and Barr beat Arun Chapero 6-2, 6-2.

Schoen's 6-2, 6-2 victory over John Wilson and Sklar's 6-3, 6-1 win over Dreshaun Jarmon rounded out the Terrier wins on the day.

The Terriers move to 3-0 all-time against the Aggies, also defeating North Carolina A&T 7-0 both last season and in the 2003-04 season.

Wofford returns home to play their home opener Sunday against King University (Tenn.) as part of a men's-women's tennis doubleheader. Both teams begin their matches at 1 p.m. at the Reeves Tennis Center.
