Wofford Women's Tennis Competes at Charlotte Invitational

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Wofford women's tennis team concluded play in the Charlotte 49ers Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.

Nine different Terriers competed in the two-day event, which consisted of four teams. The Terriers competed in singles and doubles matches against Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, and Davidson.

In total, the Terriers competed in 30 total matches in a "hidden dual" round robin format.

Day one of the event was highlighted by
Curran Carver and
Meghan King, who defeated Charlotte's Kelly Dodd and Victoria Pahlett, 7-5, in a doubles match. Carver also won again on day two, this time in singles, as she took care of Charlotte's Briana Bodner, 6-1, 6-1.Â

Wofford's
Cassidy Hicks displayed strong performances in singles and doubles, winning 6-4, 6-3, in a singles event against Coastal Carolina on day one.

On day two, Hicks and
Kalli Karas took down Coastal Carolina's doubles team of Romane Delay and Natalie Wall, 6-3.

Senior
Taylor Carlson also won a singles match against the 49ers, winning a thrilling three set match, 6-3, 1-6, 10-7.

Up next, the Terriers will conclude their fall schedule as they host the Wofford Invite, which will begin on Friday, Nov. 4 and conclude on Sunday, Nov. 6.
