RALEIGH- The Wofford men's golf team finished eighth in their second tournament of the fall, recording a 54-hole team score of 867 (+15) at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate held at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club.
Andrew Novak led the Terriers as the senior from Mt. Pleasant finished tied for fifth. Novak shot two under par for the tournament (211), recording rounds of 69, 70 and 72 on the par 71 course. The opening round 69 ties a season low for the senior from Mount Pleasant. Junior
Harrison Frye, playing in the No. 3 spot for Wofford, had the second best outing. The native of Gastonia, N.C. shot a 218 over the three rounds, including two rounds of 72. Frye finished tied for 35
th.

Evan Grenus recorded rounds of 77, 73, and 70 to shoot 220 while senior
Jeremy Grab shot 225 (73, 77, 75).
Walker Simas shot a 233 (81, 70, 82). Sophomore
Joshua Allen, playing as an individual for the Terriers, shot 232 for the tournament.
East Carolina won the two day event, shooting 15 under par for a team score of 837. Kennesaw State finished just three shots behind to record a second place finish. North Carolina State (849), Maryland (857) and Campbell (861) rounded out the top five.
Also competing in the tournament were Augusta, Rhode Island, UNCG, Winthrop, Georgia Southern, George Mason, Davidson, Temple, USC Upstate and a second team from NC State.
Vic Lipscomb's team has nearly two weeks off, returning to action Oct. 17-18 at the Elon Intercollegiate.
