MACON, Ga. – The women's golf team concluded its fall season on Tuesday in the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship. The two day, 54 hole tournament was hosted by Mercer University at the Idle Hour Golf Club.

Wofford finished 12
th in the field with a three round total of 952, 88 over par on the par 72 course. Mercer won the tournament by two strokes over Southern Miss. and Toledo with a team total of 897, 33 over par. Troy finished fourth in the field and Western Kentucky took the fifth spot.

Freshmen
Ashley Czarnecki and
Madison Barnett led the way for the Terriers. Czarnecki finished in a tie for 39
th place. She had rounds of 75, 78, 81 to finish with a score of 234, 18 over par. Barnett recorded rounds of 79, 74, and 83. Her second round 74 was the lowest round of the tournament by a Wofford golfer. Barnett finished tied for 47
th place.

Grace Massengill, the third freshman in the Wofford lineup, finished in 52
nd place. Massengill recorded rounds of 81, 80, 77 and finished 22 over par. Massengill's 71 in Tuesday's final round was the best among Wofford players.

Nicole Chin and
Katy Funk finished in a tie for 60
th and a tie for 63
rd, respectively. Chin, a junior, had rounds count two of three rounds as she shot 79, 83 and 84 for the tournament. Funk, a senior, also had scores count in two of three rounds as she shot 80, 82, and 85 in the three rounds.

Angie Ridgeway's team kicks off the spring season at the Kiawah Island Classic Feb. 27-28. The tournament, hosted by the College of Charleston will take place at the Kiawah Island Resort.Â
