KANSAS CITY, MO – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced its All-Region teams Wednesday and
Matthew Aurednik and
Kyle Nelson were among those honored.

Kyle Nelson was selected to the third team.

Aurednik's 27 career goals is tops in the program's Division I history, which dates back to 1995. During each of his four years for the Terriers, he earned All Southern Conference honors. Aurednik was named to the second team All-SoCon in his freshman, junior, and senior seasons, in addition to being selected to the first team in his sophomore season, where he notched a career best 10 goals. The Lexington, S.C. native finished 2016 as Wofford's leading goal scorer, tallying seven goals to go along with one assist.

In his sophomore season, Nelson emerged as one of the best defenders in the Southern Conference. He started all 19 of Wofford's games and delivered six goals while anchoring the Terrier defense. For his strong play, the Austin, Texas native was rewarded with a spot on the All-SoCon second team.

Wofford finished the season with a 12-7 record and a 6-4 mark in conference play. The team's 12 wins is tied for the most since the program moved to Division I.
