NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the All-Academic Team honors for the 2015-16 NCAA Division I Track & Field seasons. The Wofford men's and women's teams both were honored this season.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team recognition, programs must have a 3.00 cumulative team GPA. Overall, 122 men's teams and 220 women's teams earned the recognition. Â

Last season the both the men's and women's cross country teams finished in eighth place overall in the Southern Conference, the best in school history. Overall seven school records were set at the Southern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship. The 28 points scored by the men were the most in school history, while the seventh place finish tied for the best. For the women, the 20 points also were the most in school history, with the seventh place finish the highest ever for the Terriers.

At the Southern Conference Outdoor Championship, the women's 37 points scored were the most in school history and the seventh place finish was also the best in school history. The 37 points for the men were the second-most in school history and the seventh place finish tied for the highest with the 2005, 2006 and 2015 teams. In addition, seven school records were set.
