GREENVILLE, S.C. - Wofford men's golfer Andrew Novak leads the field of 128 golfers through two rounds at the Furman Intercollegiate. The three day, 54 hole tournament concludes on Sunday. 

Novak (-11) has a four shot lead over Kendrick Vinar of Harvard and Brett Barron of Georgia Southern, who set a tournament record with an opening round 63. The senior from Mt. Pleasant, S.C. shot 67 in Friday's opening round and finished the day in third. The five under par 67 was Novak's best round of the season. He improved one stroke on Saturday and shot a 66, tying for the low round of the day among the field and propelling him to the top of the leader board. The 66, a new season best, was the fifth of Novak's career and one shot off his career high. 

Novak has won twice this season, both in the fall, and has four career wins, the most by a Wofford men's golfer in program history. 

Wofford sits in fifth place as a team. The Terriers shot 281 as a group on Friday and 289 in Saturday's second round. Wofford's six under par team score is just one stroke behind Chattanooga and Georgia Southern who are tied for third. USC Aiken is -9 and Clemson holds an 11 shot advantage at -20 to lead the field. 

All teams go off in a 9:30 a.m.shotgun start in Sunday's final round. Wofford will start on holes 4-6. Fans can follow live scoring on golfstatresults.com.
