SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College cross country and track & field head coach
Johnny Bomar has announced the addition of 13 new members to the men's and women's teams. The men's side will feature six additions, while the women's squad welcomes seven new members.

"We have made great strides in the past several years with the Wofford cross country and track program," said Bomar. "We are excited to have this strong group of student-athletes joining the teams this fall and expect this class to enable us to continue our positive momentum."

Two member of the incoming class, Ford McCoy and Megan Dunn, signed with the Terriers in November. The newcomers are from seven different states, with three from South Carolina.

In addition, they will have three dual sport newcomers. Austin Lufkin and Connor Jacobs from the football team will also compete in throws, while Jamari McDavid from the women's basketball team will compete in jumps.

A few highlights for the women include: Burroughs (All-Conference in cross country), Dunn (taking part in the Canadian Track and Field Championships this summer in the decathlon), Elsass (cross country district champion), Faison (region champion in the 400 meters), Lopez (school record in the discus), McDavid (state champion in the long jump), and Steelman (state champion in cross country and 1600 meters).

For the men, highlights of the newcomers include: Ellis (state champion in the 110 and 400 meter hurdles), Jacobs (team state championship in track), Larkin (first team All-Conference), Lufkin (named All-New England three times and holds state record in the shot put), and McCoy (state champion in cross country, 800 meters, 1600 meters and 3200 meters).
