Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Mercer on Friday morning at the Reeves Tennis Center. Mercer edged the Terriers in the doubles matches and continued the strong play in singles to secure the victory. With the loss Wofford falls to 8-8 on the season and 0-5 in the conference while Mercer improves to 9-10 and 2-3 in the conference.

The Terriers battled tough with the Bears in the doubles matches, but Mercer edged Wofford 2-1 to take the early advantage. Wofford's lineup for doubles was as followed: No. 1

Samantha Russell. Carver/Wilbur were picked up the lone victory with a 6-4 win to move to improve their record to 6-5 on the season.
Wofford and Mercer continued to play back and forth matches in the singles portion of the day. The Terriers lineup for singles was as followed: No. 1 Hicks, No. 2 Vroman, No. 3 Reid, No. 4 Carver, No. 5 Wilbur, and No. 6
Annie Mayfield. Mercer picked up two wins to begin doubles but the Terriers answered the run when Vroman defeated her opponent 6-2, 7-6. With the remaining matches close and the team victory hanging in the balance, Mercer's Grace Korta clinched the victory with a 6-2, 7-5 victory from the number four position. Reid picked up another victory for the Terriers

Wofford will return to the court tomorrow, Saturday, April 7 at 1 PM when the Terriers host UNCG before concluding the regular season on Friday, April 13 against Samford on Senior Day.
