Wofford College announced on Friday, December 14, the hiring of Elizabeth Ellis as interim head coach of the women’s lacrosse program for the 2019 season. Ellis has spent the previous four seasons as head coach at Adrian College.
While head coach at Adrian, she coached five All-Conference selections and 25 Academic All-Conference picks. She created all practice plans, administered drills, created and implemented offensive and defensive plays, along with recruiting and scheduling responsibilities.
Prior to being named head coach, Ellis served one season as an assistant coach at Adrian. In 2013, she was an assistant coach at Adams State University.
She was a four-year women’s lacrosse player at Adrian, winning the 2011 and 2012 Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference titles. She received a bachelor’s degree in physical education.
