Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wofford volleyball was handed a defeat on the road against UNCG Friday night in Greensboro, N.C. The Spartans dominated the match in Fleming Gym recording a 30-12, 30-26, 30-14 victory.
UNCG (10-8, 3-1 SoCon) freshman Kayren Finney led the match with a .625 hitting percentage while sophomore Branagan Fuller concluded with a match best 11 kills and 40 total attacks. Sophomore Lisa Fawell paced the match with 25 assists.
Three Spartans completed the match in double digit digs. Senior Lauren Keiser and sophomore Catherine Hanners tied as team leaders recording 14 digs each. Sophomore Kayleigh Knerr followed with 13.
Freshman Stacy Byrd led the Terriers (6-9, 0-3 SoCon) recording seven kills and 24 total attacks, while classmate Catelyn Amende followed close behind with five kills and 22 total attacks. Sophomore Joanna Suddath gathered a team best 21 assists.
Sophomore Sarah Palmer finished the match pacing the Wofford with 15 digs. Also concluding the match in double digit digs was classmate Shanna Hughes with 11.
The Terriers travel up the road pass Greensboro on Saturday for a 7 p.m. match against Elon.
