Box Score ELON, N.C. – The Wofford volleyball team dropped Saturday night’s match at Elon, losing 3-0 (30-24, 30-20, 30-16) in Alumni Gym.
The Phoenix’s (8-10, 3-2 SoCon) offensive attack was led by sophomore Mandy Wilson’s .444 hitting percentage from 14 kills, two errors and 27 total attacks. Senior Emily Lucci also finished the match with 27 total attacks to go with her 10 kills. Senior Natalie Moore paced the match with 37 assists.
Elon recorded two double digit dig performances from junior Kelley Blakewood with 18 and Moore with 16.
Leading the Terriers (6-10, 0-4 SoCon) was sophomore Brittany Thompson with 13 kills and 30 total attacks for a hitting percentage of .333. Sophomore Joanna Suddath completed the match with 18 assists.
Wofford also featured two of its own with double digit digs. Sophomore Sarah Palmer collected 13, while Thompson gathered 10.
The Terriers continue Southern Conference action traveling Wednesday to the mountains for a 7 p.m. contest against Appalachian State in Boone, N.C.
