Wofford was able to stay within a few points of the Cougars, but would never tie the score in the second set as Charleston went on to win 25-18.

The third set was a different story as the Terriers came out of the break and took the momentum early. After three early ties, Wofford forced several Cougar errors to take an 11-6 lead. The Terriers used strong defense to maintain their lead until a kill from Sarah Havel brought the Cougars within one point at 17-16. Wofford widened its lead to 20-16 on two Terrier kills and a Cougar error, but another Havel kill sparked a 4-0 run for College of Charleston, tying the score at 20. The next eight points were hard fought on both sides of the net, with College of Charleston coming out on top, 25-23.

Sophomore Sarah Havel led the Cougars with 14 kills, while setter Cole Dawley paced the team with a .750 attack percentage off six kills. Dawley notched a double-double with 29 assists and 12 digs, while libero Paige Johnson topped the team with 14 defensive saves.
