MEN'S BASKETBALL:  Sold out crowd to see Terriers battle CofC for SoCon title; Tickets remain for Saturday's game
"On to the next one" has been one of the musical mantras of the Wofford men's basketball team this season. Part of the team's "one game at a time" approach.

The "next one" is inside the Benjamin Johnson Arena Thursday night as Wofford (21-8, 13-3 SoCon) faces College of Charleston (19-9, 13-3) for the Southern Conference's regular season championship and with it the automatic berth in the NIT.  Wofford fans are asked to wear black to the game.

For the 3rd time in a calendar year and the 2nd time this season, the Benjamin Johnson Arena is sold out in advance for the contest as well.  The other sellouts were February 12, 2009 as the Terriers battled Davidson.  On December 19, 2009, a packed house watched Wofford defeat South Carolina 68-61.

Thursday's game is slated to tip-off at 7:05 p.m. and will be televised live on CSS (College of Charleston production) which is available on Comcast and Charter cable outlets in the Southeast.  On Thursday, Wofford will welcome the Charlotte Bobcats Rhythm Cats drummers and the NBA team's mascot "Rufus".  The Oakland Elementary School Honor Choir will sing the national anthem with the OES All Star PE Club providing halftime entertainment.

Those holding Terrier Tales Reading Program bookmarks will NOT be able to redeem the bookmarks at the Arena for admission to Thursday's game. Members of the Boss' Buddies Kids Club have been notfifed of procedures for members.  A very limited number of High School League passes will be available at Will Call on a first come, first serve basis.

2009-10 Basketball Gameday
The final home game of the season is Saturday, February 27 as The Citadel Bulldogs come to the Benjamin Johnson Arena for a 7:00 pm tip.  For The Citadel, it will be Boiling Springs Elementary Night and the 2009 Southern Conference champion men's soccer team will recieve their championship rings.  It will also be Senior Night for the program as Junior Salters and Corey Godzinski will be recognized during a pre-game ceremony.

Tickets are available for Saturday's game and may be purchased by calling the Wofford Athletic Ticket Office at 864-597-4090 or log onto woffordterriers.com to buy online.
