GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Wofford Terriers dropped a 3-0(25-18, 25-17, 25-14) match on the road at Furman Wednesday night in Southern Conference action.

Early in the first set the Terriers pulled ahead 6-4, only to have the Paladins come back with a 6-0 run to take a 10-6 lead.  Wofford cut into the lead with kills from Bekah Dorsey and Arden Anderson to pull within two, 11-9.  Furman would pull head with an 8-4 run and take a 19-13 lead.  Wofford couldn’t cut into the lead as Furman took the set 25-18.

In the second set, Wofford again took an early lead, 4-2, but again Furman put together a 6-0 run to take an 8-4 lead.  The Paladins would take control of the set and pull ahead 16-8 en route to a 25-17 set win.

Furman opened the third set with a 5-0 run before the Terriers got on the scoreboard on a Paladin attack error.  The Paladins would push their lead to 11-4 as they controlled the set.  Furman would finish the set, 25-14, to clinch the match.

Arden Anderson led the Terriers with seven kills on ten swings with one error for a .600 hitting percentage.  Amanda Liguori followed with six kills.  Anderson also had four total blocks, two solo blocks and two block assists.  Reagan Styles collected ten digs in the match, while Bekah Dorsey handed 16 assists.

Wofford was outhit in the match .394 to .138.

The Terriers (12-7, 1-3) will return to the Benjamin Johnson Arena for their next match against The Citadel Friday.
