1950 – Terriers go to Montgomery and beat Auburn
1970 – A 4th quarter comeback over Western Carolina preserves a season that ends at the NAIA national title game
1988 – The hiring of current head coach Mike Ayers
1990 – With star Shawn Graves out with an injury the Terriers score 43 second half points to beat ETSU
1991 – Wofford travels to The Citadel and wins for the first time in decades
2002 – Wofford stakes its case as being a SoCon contender with a 26-19 win at Appalachian State
2003 – The first SoCon championship season
2006 – Michael Hobbs runs 99 yards from scrimmage for a TD in a win at Georgia Southern
2007 – Terriers knock off #1 Appalachian State at Gibbs Stadium
2007 – In the FCS playoffs, the Terriers win 23-22 at Montana
FOOTBALL: Inside Wofford Football radio show returns Monday from 6 – 7pm!
Join the Voice of the Terriers Mark Hauser and head football coach Mike Ayers and company at the Wild Wing Café on Morgan Square in downtown Spartanburg this coming Monday, August 29 at 6:00 pm for the second season of “Inside Wofford Football.” The show expands to a one-hour format this year and fans are encouraged to come out and talk football with the crew!
If you can’t make it to the show you can submit an e-mail for Coach Ayers at athletics@wofford.edu. Inside Wofford Football can be heard in Spartanburg on ESPN 1400 AM, 97.1 FM, in Greenville on ESPN 1440 AM and anywhere online at espnspartanburg.com.
MEN’S SOCCER: Home exhibition match tonight; regular season opens Monday
The final tune-up for the Wofford men’s soccer team is tonight at Snyder Field as they host Queens University of Charlotte at 7:00 pm. Admission is free.
The regular season opens Monday night at USC Upstate and that begins a six match road swing for the team with visits to tournaments in Rock Hill, SC and Wilmington, NC and a trip to Houston to face Houston Baptist on September 16. The Terriers home opener is a much anticipated match September 20 against North Carolina at 7:00 pm. That match will serve as the SCYSA Youth Soccer Month match for the men’s program.
Boys youth soccer coaches are encouraged to call Charlie Coon at 597-4023 or CoonCE@wofford.edu to schedule your team’s night with the Terriers this season. Youth teams this year will be introduced prior to the match and be part of the Terriers pre-game introductions as well. The team will also serve as the ballkids for the match and have the chance to get autographed posters after the match as well.

WOMEN’S SOCCER: at USC Upstate tonight; Terriers return home Sept. 4
The Wofford women’s soccer team will make the short trip up I-585 to USC Upstate tonight before traveling to PC on September 1. After that, the Terriers will not wear road black until September 30 as a five match homestand begins September 4 with UNC Asheville at Snyder Field.

FOOTBALL: Got your season tickets? All seats in 2011 are reserved seats at Gibbs Stadium
As most fans have become aware, all seats at Gibbs Stadium in 2011 are reserved seats this season and now is the time for you to pick out your seat you may have had in “general admission” to make sure you can lock it in for all of this year! Season tickets are just $100, a savings of $31 off day-of-game ticket prices!
