SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Led by a match-high 13 kills from junior Taylor Baird and 12 from senior Amanda Liguori, the Wofford volleyball team made quick work of North Carolina A&T, 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-13), Wednesday night inside Benjamin Johnson Arena.

Wofford (10-15, 4-6 SoCon) hit .309 on the evening (42-13-94), while NC A&T (5-21, 4-2 MEAC) did more harm than good on offense with a -.012 attack percentage (18-19-85). Totaling 42 kills, the Terriers more than doubled A&T's output of 18, and Wofford dominated on serve with 10 aces to one for the Bulldogs. On the ground, the Terriers won the dig battle, 47-34, and the two teams finished the night even on the block with three apiece.

Baird and Liguori dominated on offense. Baird's 13 kills came at a .346 clip (13-4-26), while Liguori's 12 were coupled with a .435 percentage (12-2-23). Baird added two aces and a block, completing her night with a match-high 15.5 points. Senior Wendy Burnett was also a force on the attack, earning nine kills on 20 swings and committing just a single error.

"I thought Amanda, Wendy and Taylor all played really well tonight," Wofford head coach Ron Sweet said. "As a team, we played error-free volleyball and executed our game plan very well."

Senior Bekah Dorsey was all over the stat sheet en route to her 10th double-double of the season and the 40th of her career, leading all active Terriers. Dorsey's double-double included 37 assists and 10 digs, while the senior setter also had a kill, an ace and block.

On the ground, sophomore Jessica Graham tallied another match of double-figure digs. Wofford's libero ended the night with 11 to lead all players, also putting down an ace and registering a pair of assists.

For the Bulldogs, Brooke Stamnes had a team-high nine kills, hitting .107 with six errors on 28 attempts. Jillian Nobles, Te'Borah Hawkins and Aleena McDaniel were the only other Bulldogs to register a kill, as the trio finished with three apiece and combined to hit -.041.

Liguori led the opening set with five kills and was error free as Wofford ran away by 13. The Terriers scored the first two points and never allowed the Bulldogs to take a single lead or even tie the score. Wofford had two separate 11-3 runs. One opened the set to put the Terriers ahead by eight, and the second turned a 14-9 match into a 25-12 set victory. Dorsey had six of her 10 digs in the set.

The first of Dorsey's two 13-assist sets followed. Again, Wofford never trailed, but NC A&T did tie the match twice at 1-1 and 4-4. A kill by Baird on a Dorsey assist put the Terriers ahead for good, and it sparked a 6-1 run capped by an ace from freshman Elizabeth Ouzts. A&T got back within five at 15-10, but a 5-1 Wofford run followed to put the home side up nine before the taking the set by seven and earning a two-set lead.

Baird, Liguori and Burnett all put down four kills in the final frame, helping Wofford to its best attacking set of the night (.407). NC A&T took its only lead of any set with the first two points, but Wofford quickly recovered with the next three and completed a 13-3 run with an ace by freshman Ellie Tallman to lead 13-5. The lead extended to 10 for the first time at 19-9, and kills by Liguori and Burnett down the stretch helped the Terriers to their first home sweep of the season.

The Wofford volleyball team hosts a pair of Southern Conference contests this Friday and Saturday, welcoming The Citadel on Friday at 6 p.m., and league-leading Georgia Southern on Saturday at 2 p.m.
