The Baylor Game
The 2013 season will open this weekend when the Terriers travel to Waco, Texas, to face Baylor at 6:30 p.m. ... This marks the fifth straight season that Wofford has opened on the road ... It will be the first meeting between Wofford and Baylor ... Last season Baylor  was 8-5 overall, with a win over UCLA in the Holiday Bowl ... The game will only be the second all-time against a team from Texas, as Wofford played Texas A&I  (now Texas A&M Kingsville) in the 1970 NAIA Championship game ... Wofford is looking for a return to the FCS Playoffs for the fourth straight season in 2013 ... Wofford was ranked second in the nation in rushing offense and 41st in the nation in total offense ... The Terrier defense was seventh in scoring defense and ninth in total defense ... The Terriers are ranked fifth in the nation in the FCS Coaches Poll and eighth in the Sports Network Poll ... Baylor is receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Poll ... Bears running back Lache Seastrunk is being mentioned by many as a Heisman Trophy candidate after rushing for 1,012 yards last season.

About Wofford
Wofford was 9-4 overall and was 6-2 in the SoCon in 2012 for a share of the conference title ... The Terriers return a total of five starters each on offense and defense, along with three specialists ... The biggest loss is of 2011 and 2012 Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year, fullback Eric Breitenstein ... Breitenstein graduated from Wofford as the all-time rushing leader with 5,730 yards ... Players named to the 2013 Preseason All-Southern Conference team include Tymeco Gregory, Jared Singleton, and Alvin Scioneaux on the first team, while Donovan Johnson, Mike McCrimon, Tarek Odom, and James Zotto were named to the second team ... Scioneaux, who led the team in tackles for loss and sacks last season, is on the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List ... Mike McCrimon is the top returning tackler ... Donovan Johnson is the top returning rusher at 473 yards and Jeff Ashley is the top returning receiver with 301 yards last season ... James Lawson was 20-of-31 passing last season to rank as the top returning quarterback.
