2013-14 Men's Basketball Schedule

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford men’s basketball coach Mike Young has announced the schedule for the 2013-14 season. The schedule is highlighted by thirteen home games, plus non-conference road games against 2013 NCAA Tournament participants Minnesota, Virginia Commonwealth, Iona, and Saint Louis.

Wofford will play 16 Southern Conference games this season. With the elimination of the north and south divisions, the Terriers will have home-and-home series with The Citadel, Davidson, Chattanooga, Furman, Georgia Southern, and Samford. Wofford will play Appalachian State, Elon, UNCG, and Western Carolina only once in the regular season.

The Terriers tip off the season on November 8 with a visit to Georgia. The home opener will be on November 11 against Emory and Henry, the alma mater of Coach Mike Young. Next up will be road games at Iona, Minnesota, and High Point, before returning home on November 30 to face Johnson and Wales. A short trip to Gardner-Webb on December 4 will be followed by a home game on December 7 against William and Mary.

After taking a break for exams, December continues with road games at Saint Louis, Virginia Commonwealth, and Winthrop. The final game of the month will be at home against High Point on December 30.

Wofford will open the Southern Conference slate at Samford on January 2. Four of the next five conference games are at home, including match-ups against Davidson, The Citadel, Western Carolina, and Chattanooga. Road trips to Georgia Southern and Furman round out January for the Terriers.

On February 1, Wofford will host Samford at Benjamin Johnson Arena. A home game against Georgia Southern is followed by a road trip to The Citadel on February 8. The Terriers step out of conference on February 11 for a home game against Hiwassee. After a road trip to Appalachian State on February 15, Wofford hosts Furman. Road games at Davidson and Elon, and a home game on March 1 against UNCG close out the regular season.

The Southern Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin on March 7 in Asheville, with the championship game slated for March 10.
