Box Score JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Wofford volleyball team fell 3-0 at conference leader ETSU on Friday night. The Buccaneers won 25-23, 25-21 and 25-19 to remain undefeated inside Brooks Gymnasium and stretch their win streak to eight matches. With the loss, Wofford falls to 14-13 on the season and 6-6 in Southern Conference play while ETSU, the conference leader, improves to 17-6 overall and moves to 9-2 in conference action.

Kara Shacklette led Wofford's attack at the net as the freshman had eight kills on 20 attempts.
Catie Cronister added seven kills and
Colleen Reilly followed with six kills as the sophomore hit a team high 267. Freshman setter
Lorissa King finished with 19 assists and Cronister recorded 15 digs. Wofford hit .070 on the night while ETSU hit .118 as a team.

In the opening set, ETSU took a 2-0 lead before
Bijonae Jones served Wofford to 10 straight points to give the Terriers a 10-2 lead. The Bucs would then go on a 9-0 run of their own before
Colleen Reilly put down a kill to end the run with ETSU leading 19-17. The teams would swap points with the Bucs ultimately taking the set 25-23.

In the second set, ETSU jumped out to a quick 6-2 lead and forced a Wofford timeout. Wofford cut the lead to 10-8 but then the Bucs went on a 4-0 run to stretch it back out to 14-8. The Terriers came within a point of the Bucs at 19-18 and ETSU called a timeout to stop Wofford's momentum. The call paid off and the Bucs would remain in front the rest of the match before putting it away 25-21.

The third set was closer from the start with teams swapping points until ETSU went on a 3-0 run to pull ahead 9-5. ETSU would lead 15-11 and 19-13 to force two Wofford timeouts. The Terriers couldn't close the 3-4 point gap in the set and ETSU won 25-19.

Wofford returns to action Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Mercer. The match is set for 6 p.m. Mercer is 12-10 on the season and 4-6 in the SoCon. In the previous meeting between the two teams on Sept. 24 the Terriers came out on top 3-2 in an intense five set match.Â
