Spartanburg, S.C. – The Wofford men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Furman on Tuesday night at Snyder Field. The Paladins scored the winner in the 21
st minute and scored a late goal to ensure the victory. With the loss Wofford moves to 4-13 overall and 4-5 in the Southern Conference.

The match was back and forth for the first 20 minutes as both the Terriers and the Paladins traded early scoring chances. Furman struck in the 21
st minute thanks a cross from Zach Jackson that found the foot of Laurence Wyke. The teams continued the aggressive play as both teams threatened before the half but it remained Furman 1 – Wofford 0 at the half.

The second half brought more scoring chances for both teams but neither team could capitalize on the opportunities. The Paladins scored the insurance goal with just under one minute to play as Furman used a counter attack to break down the Wofford defense.

Despite the loss, the Terriers totaled 10 shots and two corner kicks.
Lucas Altman led Wofford with two shots in the match.

Wofford will return to the pitch for the final regular season match on Saturday when the Terriers travel to Johnson City to square off against ETSU at 7 PM.
