Greenville, S.C. – The Wofford women's soccer team lost 5-0 at Furman on Friday evening at Stone Field. The Paladins scored in the 15
th minute of the first half and scored four insurance goals to secure the win. With the loss the Terriers fall to 5-7-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the Southern Conference.

The Paladins dominated the possession in the first 20 minutes of the first half as Furman had three shots and three corner kicks in the first fifteen minutes of the match. Furman scored the opening goal in the 16
th minute when Caitlyn Reilly scored over the outstretched arms of
Alex Carroll.

Just over three minutes later Treva Aycock added an insurance goal increasing the Paladin lead 2-0. Furman added two more goals before the end of the first half as Aycock and Reilly both scored their second goals of the match.

The Paladins added one more goal before the final whistle to win the match as Caitlyn Reilly completed the hat trick.

Despite the loss Wofford totaled 11 shots being led by
Emma Fletcher with five.
Alex Carroll made five saves in the match.

Wofford will return to the pitch on Sunday when the Terriers host South Carolina State at Snyder Field at 2 PM.
