Wofford announces All-BenJo Team

For the last five months, the Wofford College athletic department has been leading the send-off for its venerable basketball and volleyball facility, the Benjamin Johnson Arena.   "The BenJo," as it is nicknamed, opened in 1981 and Saturday will mark its final day as an intercollegiate competition facility. The Wofford volleyball and basketball programs move into their new home, the state-of-the-art Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium, this fall.

Nearly 600 online votes were cast by Wofford supporters to name their "All-Benjamin Johnson Arena Team." Fans were allowed to select 5 players from a total of 31 total nominees, regardless of position.

In 2005, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Arena, Wofford selected 10 players to be on the All-BenJo 25th anniversary team including: Greg O'Dell '92, Matt Allen '95, James Blair '83, Ian Chadwick '01, Seth Chadwick '97, Mike Howard '83, Mike Lenzly '03, Wayne Rice '87, Antoine Saunders '87 and Howard Wilkerson '06.
