A full fan preview of what's on-tap for Benjamin Johnson Arena's final games

For the last five months, the Wofford College athletic department has been leading the send-off for its venerable basketball and volleyball facility, the Benjamin Johnson Arena.   "The BenJo," as it is nicknamed, opened in 1981 and heads into its final month as an intercollegiate competition facility with six remaining contests.  The Wofford volleyball and basketball programs move into their new home, the state-of-the-art Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium this fall.

Kelly Bossert, Lorissa King and Alex Holland from the volleyball team show off the "Home Court" t-shirt design.

As we enter the BenJo's final month, fans have an opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind Terrier t-shirt!  The "Home Court of the Terriers" shirt depicts the four court designs that have graced the Benjamin Johnson Arena's floor since its inception. The Comfort Colors brand pocket t-shirt is available in white and yellow and makes a great gift for any Wofford fan.   Place your order now ($28) by calling the Wofford College Bookstore at (864) 582-6514.  Please note, former Wofford spirit and men's and women's basketball alumni may reserve their "Home Court of the Terriers" shirt through the RSVP system set up for the reunion events.  Special thanks to RSN Promotionals for their design assistance.

Reunion events set for Feb. 11 and 18
The February farewell includes two special reunion events for those that have performed in front of the Terrier faithful over the years.  On Saturday, February 11, the Wofford Spirit Squads (cheer, dance and band) will return for a special event including an exclusive construction tour of Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium, dinner and several opportunities to relive the magic returning to the court for pregame, halftime and postgame festivities. The second reunion includes our former women's and men's basketball players and takes place as part of our final day in the Arena, a doubleheader on Saturday, February 18.  Again for both games, former players will have several opportunities to make lasting memories on the court as part of pre-game and postgame festivities.  The player alumni groups will join together for a tour of Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium and dinner between 4:00 and 6:30 pm.  Access a link to these formal invitations at woffordterriers.com/benjofarewell.
